Respected sir,
Firstly, You should understand the difference that B.Arch and B.Tech in CSE will bring in your career and future.
B.Arch vs B.Tech (CSE)
B.Arch is a 5yrs course with almost zero campus placements. Only IITs and very few NITs offer campus placement. In IITs campus placement is atleast 75% or more, whereas in NITs it is as low as 5% to 20%. There is no campus placements for b.arch students in state colleges. But hold on, have you ever heard doctors getting placed , a lawyer getting a hefty package and getting his name in d news paper ? No, we don't hear such news and the reason is Architecture just like medicine or law, is a professional course where the coursework teaches us how to be an independent professional Architect and run an architecture firm. There is huge scope for off campus placements, Architects are never unemployed. The initial salary in a small or medium sized Architecture firm is quite low. May be lower than 20k but with time it increases upto 40k in few years. But rarely senior architects stick to any particular firm. They try moving around changing firms and changing the projects they are working in to grow and groom themselves about diversified projects. May be dey worked in a hospital today in some architecture firm and housing project the next month in a different firm. Now coming to higher studies after Architecture, huge scope is there, many courses related to planning and construction management helps us to land up with jobs offering higher packages but problem is we get drifted from core Architecture profession. But we should keep in mind, Architecture profession will never ever satisfy us with the money. The hard work that is implemented and the amount paid for that is quite low in comparison to other professionals, but still the feeling that the building you design will stay firm even after your lifetime is worthy.
Which is best for future after Diploma engineering?
