Hey friend!

BSc IT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology) is an undergraduate course in Information Technology. The total duration is 3 years and the course spreads across 6 semesters.

Similarly  BSc Computer Science is a three-year degree programme.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 from CBSE or any equivalent examination with a minimum passing percentage and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

I think you should opt for BSc CS.

As Computer experts are in demand in almost all the sectors like banking, hospitality, schools & colleges, MNCs. A graduate with Computer Science can also start one’s software company.

All the best friend!

Hello,

It depends on your choice and on aspects are you comparing the both. BSc IT would train you on computer applications and the basis of it is to manage information on different network platforms and testing databases. It does not require a strong mathematical approach as it does in BSc CS. IT is a part of CS and both the courses are not that different but BSc CS is more of a theoretical approach. Having said that I would say that if you are looking for job based study the BSc IT is better as it a practical approach and would not require as much theory

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

hello,

If you want to know the difference between IT and CS then let me tell you both the subjects are some what similar. The only difference is in IT its more about installing, maintaining, and improving computer systems, operating networks, and databases. Whereas in CS its more about using mathematics to program systems to run more efficiently, including in design and development

hope this will help you

all the best!!
