IT and CSE are pretty much the same type of departments but if do you CSE there are more job oppurtunities an you can easily get a job during placements.



I would suggest you to choose CVR College of engg, Hyderabad since AICTE approval and NBA accredation and most importantly it has a better placement cell than Vasavi engg. College.

IT in Vasavi

It has a very good placement record.

The highest package was offered by Adobe which was 14 lakh per annum and many big companies like Pega, Oracle and Microsoft visit the campus every year. The average package for the entire batch of 2016 was 4.8 lakh. Nearly 60 companies visit the campus every year.

Some of the big companies include Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture.

The second highest package was from Accolite, which was 11 lakh per annum. There were 3 students with offers from 6 companies.

CSE in CVR

The college provides good opportunity to get into the multinational companies with a good package, and we will be able to get call letter in short period. The companies like Amazon offer the highest salary package ranging from 16 to 20 LPA.

Even though NIRF ranking of CVR is way better than Vasavi, people feel that Vasavi is a better college. Now, coming to the subjects asked, everyone prefers CSE to IT.

Both the subjects are almost the same with a few topics different. Coming to placements, CSE is more in demand.

Now, it completely depends on YOU and your interest for the subjects because both the colleges are excellent.

About my opinion: CSE at CVR is better because the faculty of CSE in any college will be the best and more supportive. Even companies that visit give more importance to CSE and then IT.

Here IT has been rated 4.3 out 5.





Placements :Placements are good for CSE and it, but a very few core companies visit the campus, but everyone can easily get a job in service based companies irrespective of their branch. Min package is around 3-4 Lacs whereas maximum can go upto 20 Lacs. Core companies like mahindra, hyundai in mechanical and adobe, microsoft, deloitte visit the campus.



Infrastructure :Excellent with well established labs and workshops. Library is also very good with a lot of books and journals to read. It all depends on your interest and zeal that how much do you want to learn in the college. Excellent infrastructure with supporting staff members.



Faculty :Faculty is very good and friendly, with full of knowledge. But it all depend on your enthusiasm and interest to learn from them. They are always ready to solve problems any time and everywhere. Curriculum is also vey good. It is completely revised as per the norms of AICTE.

Here CSE has been rated 4.2 out of 5.





Placements :Placements were average for core branches, but the students of CSE and IT branches have a huge scope for getting a good job with better packages. Internships are also good. The percentage of students placed in the previous year is more than 60%.



Infrastructure :The college has very good lab facilities as all the required machines for the core branches are available. CSE and IT branches have well-equipped computer labs with centralised air-conditioning facilities. Classrooms are average, but they have all the basic facilities and also projectors for presentation and digital aided explanation. The best part of the infrastructure is the cafeteria. It was built recently. The menu is good. The hostel and auditorium are the only disappointing places in the college. The campus is enabled with Wi-Fi, i.e., Jio Wi-Fi.



Faculty :Faculty members in the core branches were disappointing, but a few were extremely good at providing practical knowledge of all subjects learned in the classroom. The course curriculum is useful anyhow. Many of the faculty members are PhD holders. The faculty in CSE and IT branches were awesome and have good knowledge. The faculty to student ratio is very good. Moreover, they take the students' opinion about faculty members after the first 2 weeks of every semester.



Other :Technical and non-technical fests are conducted every year. Students from different colleges come here and participate in various competitions.

Dear aspirant stream matters even  more than colleges and choosing streams depends on your interest. If you like coding go for cse. If you want others including coding go for it. Nowadays placement are better for cse than it because companies choose the cse students more
