Although it depends on your interest, VLSI design is much more of a niche technology and offers diverse job profiles with excellent career growth and pay packages in India as well as abroad.
As this is highly specialized domain, it’s quite challenging for new college graduates and thus you can persue because of the Masters degree. You'll just have scratched the surface when are done with your B.Tech courses.
Only those who are willing to put that extra effort can sustain in the long-run because this is not for those who aspire great career with a simple crash course. You need a lot of determination and perseverance to sustain and thrive in ths course of study.
