Which is easy engineering field
Hello Vaishnavi ,
Glad to know that you are interseted in taking up engineering after your 12th . Before you take up any stream it is necessary to know that none of those is easy. Everything requires equal amount of interest and hardwork. It just varies based on perception of a person. Now that the scenario is different , everyone expects you to know that science is hard , commerce is easy , or better example Engg is hard and Basic sciences is easy. WELL to answer you NO. Nothing is easier, hence to your questions , there is NO Engineering Field which is EASY .
It all depends on your interest. I will tell you about various branches of engg , but again the matter is nothing is easy. you have to work to get. And you have to put your interests in it.You should know that INDIA is the highest producers of engg. BUt if youre really interseted , then that is the right choice for you. Here goes the Different engineering field.
- 1) CSE/ISE - Computer Science engineering or Information science engineering : One of the most demandable and most preffererd engg in the country. From Health care to banking , in each and every fireld the computers are put into use, so the software developers, web developers are required for every field. CSE or ISE is right all about the computer software and stuffs. So IF you are most Into Computers and if you want to do something new in it , this is the right choice for you . Avg starting salary is around 3 - 8 lakh per annum, which depends on the institution you join into. It is one of the most demandable of all engg branches and always will be. Bangalore is the IT hub for this reason too.
- 2) ME - Mechanical Engineering : this branch involves design production and operation of machinery. IF you have passion for functioning of things, building of machinery , physics , then you can opt this. THis required lot of hard work and understanding of core concepts like kinematics, thermodynamics etc., and also theres a lot of job oppotrtunity if you complete ME from chennai or bangalore areas. Also Mechanical engineers are hired in IT sector as well. Avg satrting salary may be aroung 3-6 lakhs.
- 3) EEE/ ECE - Electrical and electronic engg / Electronic and communication engg : oldest branch and if youre interested in electronic stuffs the go ahead with it. IN ECE , you deal with integrated circuits , logic designs etc. if youre a completely into gadget and like repairing or developing electronic systems, you can choose this.
- 4) B iotechnology engg : This is one of the emerging fields. If youre into biological cells and your interest has peaks in biology as well as computers , this is right choice. youll deal with drug designing and testing, medical improvemtns etc . its considered as fast growing sectors and it has a wide variety of scope. It is also as easier as computer science, but only if you have spiked up interest in it. You get jobs in R&D industries. Average salary ranges from 3-8 Lakh. You can also be recruited in IT companies who have seperate branch for health sciences.
- 5) Aeronautical Engineering : This is the interesting branch apart from BIotech and computer sciences. you usually deal with research , designing, construction testing of aircrafts. the top recruiters are ISRO, DRDO , HAL etc. There are few colleges that offer aeronautical engg. You get a net higher pay than anyother. There is increasing demand and it is not the easiest of all.
- 6) CIVIl Engg : They are also increasing field in engg. they deal with designing, construction and maintainence of naturally and physically built environments like roads , bridges , dams etc. There are many people who prefer civil engg in current scenario. construction companies like DHl recruit civil engg.
But in the present scenario, as we have more engineers , Almost all join IT sector . EVEN the Civil branch joins IT , ECE join IT etc. So if you are really interested in any particualr field then proceed in that. All fields have opportunities , you need to take that. Also , dont fall for negativities on taking engg, IF youre really passionate about being engg , then go ahead. For sure you will be in a good position , if you pursue with interest. Also, to become a succesfull engineer, try getting into a good college with better placements and the one which gives you placement for your interested field. otherwise, its of no use doing engineering.
Ayyway, hope this little information helps you to sort out the field you are interested in. ALl the best and good luck.
feel free to ask for any further queries.
Thank you :)
Hello dear,
There is no field which is too easy and too hard, every field has its own importance.Consistent efforts and strong determination is required to excel in any field.Don't think like that for any field. You should choose that branch in which you have interest or in which you want to make your career.Don't choose like that as it is easy complete.
Hope you understands.
If you are thinking above question then i have some question for you.
Why engineering
Is it because you want to be the next Jack Kilby or Thomas Edison? These guys know it all what they exactly want.WAIT did you know what you want to do in future if no then think and decide . then go.
if you really want to be perfect engineer then read must
in engineering there is no any easiest branch and also not too hard .every branch have good future .
choose your branch / stream as per your interest .
below i will try to define every branch .please read carefully .
Electrical and Electronics Engineering: If you in the IITs its ok. If other colleges this branch I dont consider a very good option. Major part of your engineering life you are running a Motor or an Alternator first trying to understand how it works then its efficiency and then how do I transmit the power. Thats it your life stops there. You hardly learn things which are in demand today. Under the pretext of electronics all they learn is SCR and UJT (if that counts for a field as vast as electronics) Still I know a friend of mine who learnt a lot of things on his own like robotics, microcontrollers and embedded systems and is working on quality product stuff. There is always room for learning everywhere.
Civil and Mechanical Engineering: (We go hand in hand):My personal favorites, if you are the kind of guy who is inspired by the modern marvels on History channel. The unique design of the Hong-Kong airport, PETRONAS tower or the Bruj-AL-Arab hotel inspires you and you like watching extreme engineering on discovery channel. Or if you heard that Mahindra Scorpio was designed by an Indian engineer who was 23 year old! If you want to design the next gas guzzling Hummer for the US marines or the fuel efficient and the cheapest car on earth Nano! Or if you fascinated by Michael Schumacher and feel you should design a faster car for him so that he can remain competitive even @ the age of forty, or if you want to know that the site of the world trade centre is good enough for a building that giant size, then these branches provide you the opportunity to do so!
Biotechnology: If you think that you did not get a seat in a medical college and you can compensate it with a degree of B.Tech Biotechnology, this aint true. The b.tech biotech guys just study the applications and they hardly know the undercurrents. It is better go do a B.S in genetics or microbiology. What B.Tech biotech does provide you is a diverse understanding and application of biotechnology in diverse field ranging from protein engineering to Industrial processes of producing a better quality beer to a way to understand means to protect the ecology, or even design a drug but in a generalist aspect! So if u thought you will be working on stem cells and producing new dollies (the cloned sheep) youre mistaken, this is one branch where a PhD is a must and requires immense hard work dedication and research unlike other branches. So if you can burn the midnight lamp and read those big fat books (which Ill rather use as a pillow or a dumbbell) like doctors do, this is the one for you!
Chemical Engineering: If you think you are good at organic chemistry, or want to design high pressure boiling chambers, or think that you have better ways to treat the chemicals coming out of the industries to save the environment, or you think you are fine with the smell of Hydrogen Sulphide this branch is for you.
Computer Science: The most sought after branch. This should not be necessarily seen as related to coding! Engineering. There is lot more to it. If you interested in operating systems, think windows sucks and Linux rocks and you think you have the creative genesis to design cool applications. Moreover there is web designing, Distributed Computing (getting a lot of computers together and make them solve a common large problem i.e. a cheap way of making your supercomputer), Networking and designing optimum algorithms for fast processing this is the branch you are looking for! Basically you got to have good logical skills and work on it.
HOPE IT HELP !!!
