Which is good Electrical engineering in techno india salt lake or computer science in jalpaiguri government college
JGEC:
Advantages:
1. It is a Government college so you will get a degree without even spending that much and hostel fees or rents(if you opt to be day scholar) are much less also.
2. Infrastructure is not compareable IIT or NIT standards but moreover better than most of colleges in West Bengal.
3. JGEC is an autonomous college so you can expect some privileges like scoring higher CGPA or getting your issues solved in a steady manner.
4. Of course you will not study everyday so if you need to freshen up your mind and body ,there are lots of places nearby to visit. Also the weather is quite pleasant there.
Disadvantages:
1. It is located in a distant place so in a state like West Bengal where everything is Kolkata centric you will find it quite difficult if you have other ambitions such as Learning a foreign language, CAT or GATE coaching.
2. If you will live away from home there is a chance of you getting homesick and you will probably find it hard to visit your home every weekend.
better go for techno India saltlake
as placement is also good there.
Hope you find it helpful
let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
thanks
Good Luck!
Hey Saurav,
Tecno India Salt Lake
Placements are too good for CS and IT departments. The placements of ECE and EE departments are good but not better than CS and IT. About 50-55% of the students got placed in reputed companies like Deloitte, TCS, etc. Apart from these, some of the students got placed through off-campus placements. Most of the students get an average package of 3.8 lacs per annum. Some of the students get internships in many sectors and companies. The placement cell is active in arranging placements. Students get grooming classes to get ready for placements.
Jalpaiguri Government College
The placements have been reasonably impressive over the last few years. I am talking especially about the non-core departments and even more specifically about the Computer Science and Engineering department. More than seventy percentage of the students in the CSE department were placed over the past few years
