Hello Dipankar,

If you have a clear goal of becoming an economist then Masters in Economics is the only postgraduate degree that makes sense.

However, if you are planning to do something else and need help deciding which course is better than I would like to tell you that the main difference between a master's degree and an MBA is specialisation versus broad knowledge.

Master's degree offer students highly specilised and the theoretical knowledge of a particular subject while the MBA is noted for its general survey of topics related to business management.

So, it is basically upon your interest that what career path you want to choose.
