SRM University, Chennai is ranks in 8th in the list of universities with NAAC A++ accreditation. The Ramapuram Campus offers 120 seats. Admission is done based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination. Admission shall be made on the basis of the fulfilment of the minimum mark requirement in the qualifying test. A Higher Secondary Examination or Equivalent Pass (Academic or Vocational Stream) with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent at KTR Campus & 50 per cent at other Campuses.

Vellore Institute of Technology ranks 1st in the list of Universities with NAAC A accreditation. The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a private university that was established in 1984. The VIT is situated in the district of Vellore, Tamil Nadu. VIT is also recognised by the Government of India as an institution of excellence. The company offers undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated and academic services. It has a lot of National and International collaborations and many clubs for additional activities.

Among the two of them VIT, Vellore has a lower fees. While the fees is Rs. 2.55 Lakhs in SRM, it is  Rs. 1.65 Lakhs in VIT.

The aggregate score required in VIT is 70% while that in SRM is 60%.

Otherwise both are the same in other aspects, but the infrastructure and course structure of VIT is considered to be very vibrant. Even the activities in the college are always ongoing and their more exposure compared to SRM.

You can study in any one college of the given option. SRM institute is renowned institute and has god facilities and placement. You can also consider VIT. VIT is also a well known institute and has good placement and facilities. You can choose either of the two. If you are in Chennai you can choose SRM and Vellore then VIT. If you are planning to work after your UG then choose wisely and if you are planning for further study then consider any college.
