See if you want to work in IT from any other fields rather than CSE i.e., if you are a student of BTech CE,ME etc then the salary you will get will be equal to MCA. Now if you are doing BTech CSE from a good college then obviously you will get higher salary packages compared to a MCA. So this are very relative terms, but I would doing BTech from a good college is better than MCA in terms of salary packages. But if you are doing BTech from core fields or if you are doing BTech from an average college then your package will be 90% time equivalent to a MCA even for this MCA packages can be higher than you (there are few exceptions where average college guys also get great packages like BTech CSE of good colleges). This are the industry facts. Now choose what ever you feel to choose. Both the subjects are great but you have to choose as per your willingness.
