Which is more necessary for taking admissions in IIT ,75% in class 12 or top 20 percentile of board .If I got 72.8%in 12th What I do ?

You must be in top 20 percentile of respective Board.

But top 20 percentile criteria percentage in 80%by AMU (aligarh Muslim university) .I had filled improvement paper only in one subject by which I only cross 75%not top 20 percentile criteria.So what I do ,please help me ?
