Hey Aspirant,

Let me first tell you the core structure of ECE and EEE.

Subjects that are common to both ECE and EEE.

  1. Network analysis and synthesis.
  2. Signal and system.
  3. Analog and Digital electronics.
  4. Control system
  5. Electromagnetic.
  6. Measurement and Instrumentation.

Core subjects of ECE.

  1. Analog and Digital communication.
  2. Information theory.
  3. RF engineering.

Core subjects of EEE.

  1. Electrical Machines.
  2. Electrical Power system.
  3. Power electronics.
  4. Analog and digital communication(not a core subject, it would be there in the 4 year engineering as an elective).

As the basic difference between the two is that, one dealt with mW( milli Watt) and the other dealt with MW(Mega Watt).

Since 5–6 subjects in both the Engineering courses are same only the 2–3 core subjects are different, let me warn you about those 2–3 different that are different are the most DIFFICULT subjects of the whole 4 year Engineering course. And if you want to compare these two courses on the basis of difficulty level, this is something like comparing the “fish with it’s ability to climb the tree”.
