Which is the best book of organic chemistry for theory to get an excellent rank in AIIMS?
Asad, first things first, AIIMS MBBS has been scrapped off in favour of NEET exam. So admission to all of AIIMS branches across India will happen through NEET score through All India Counselling. There is no separate exam for AIIMS. So you will have to follow books that you study for NEET.
Chemistry Best Books:
NCERT Chemistry textbooks for Class XI and XII
Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
ABC of Chemistry for Classes 11 and 12 by Modern
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee
Dinesh Chemistry Guide
Practise books by VK Jaiswal, MS Chauhan and N Awasthi
For Physical Chemistry, Chemistry for NEET by Cengage Publications is a good choice. Oragnic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd is a good book. For Inorganic Chemistry, GRB Concept of Inorganic Chemistry by OP Tandon is an ideal option.
Dear Aspirant
Firstly to Gain in depth knowledge and for strengthening the fundamentals and core concpets you should prefer ncert ,Analyse and make short notes from NCERT in proper way .
After that your task is to solve reaction problems and solving a set of problems topicwise and chapterwise.
So you should prefer Organic chemistry by Rk Gupta of Arihant publication because it contains lot of problems and mechanism of reactions.
If you want to practice problems then you can solve Universal self scorer because it contains lot of problems with proper explanation.
Thanks
All the very best
