which is the best college between thapar university and lpu for btech(cse)?

Lets compare the statistics.

1. INFRASTRUCTURE:- PEC is comparatively smaller. They are not good. And i mean it. Thapar has better hostels than PEC. Period.
2. ACADEMICS:- Both colleges have deemed faculty and similar environment for the students to excel in the fields. However, some fields like Mettalurgy in PEC and Chemical in Thapar don’t usually get the attention and credit that they deserve.
3. FACULTY:- Thapar has more faculty than PEC and more Academically qualified than PEC again
4. PLACEMENTS:- Both have good placements in the fields of IT, Finance and Core Sector. However comparing the averages of the colleges in the last year will yield no difference whatsoever. However the Highest Salary Package in Thapar last year was 38 lac/annum by Work Applications.
5. RANKING:- NIRF ranked Thapar at 26th and PEC at 85th.

The placements for CSE at Thapar are excellent. Companies like Deshaw(28 lakh), Microsoft(10+), Amadeus Labs(7+), Hikari (23 lac), Hike, and many more visit regularly. I. Not even counting non-technical companies here. Other than that, ECE department also has decent placements. People in CS batch are known to have multiple internship offers and almost every one land with a job. LPU is fairly new and I doubt any company would prefer it over a University with a strong 50+ year old legacy.
