Hello Manav,

No doubt NITs are best to pursue civil engineering. There are some private institutions such as AKG, who accept JEE main score, but getting into NIT would be a wise choice.

Some of the top NITs for civil engineeting include:

National Institute of Technology, Warangal.
National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal.
Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad.
National Institute of Technology Calicut.
