Dear Aspirant,
GMRIT:-
Placements: About 70% of students get placed, which is a good thing if you are a computer science student because most of the companies that recruit students are IT companies. If you are free from other branches, then you still get placed, but the chances of getting placed in core companies are low. Few companies like Byju's, Everest, TCS, Hyundai, LNT, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placements. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, but very few students get selected.
Infrastructure: It is one of the best colleges in terms of infrastructure. It got the second cleanest campus award. It has one of the best digital libraries you can see in any college. The college provides well-equipped labs and large grounds to play games. The hostel is good but does not expect much with food quality.
Faculty: Faculty members are bad, and everyone is just qualified. They do not have much knowledge to share with you. You will encounter very few good teaching lecturers. Everything is played on a projector, and most of them just read what is there on the slides. They do not really prepare you for the real world. They will give you crash courses on reasoning and aptitude in the end and expect you to excel in campus interviews. For exams, you have to rely on the library.
RVRJC:-
Placements: Around 80%-100% of the students will be placed from the college. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies of the college are TCS and Infosys. All the students do internships, mostly in BSNL. Electronics engineer is the top role offered here.
Infrastructure: The library is good here, especially the reading section. Labs are a bit old, but the classrooms are good. I stayed in the girls' hostel for two years, and the food served is great. There is a gym, TV room and dispensary. The canteen is very small in the hostel, and the mess is great.
Faculty: The faculty members are the most impressive part of the branch. They are highly experienced and very well qualified. They have great knowledge. Senior faculty members always try to help students, and junior faculty members are very hardworking and help students in all ways. The curriculum is good, but most of the syllabus is old compared to the current industry, which is also helpful because they give the basic knowledge. Exams can be termed average in the range of difficulty. The pass percentage is 85%-100% here.
