The Sturgeon species are the largest of the freshwater fishes in the world. The Beluga sturgeon in Russia is the largest freshwater fish in the world. There is also  white sturgeon  which is the largest freshwater fish in North America.  The length of the white surgeon fish may go upto 15-20 feet and it might weigh 1 ton.

The largest freshwater  fish which found in India is Alligator gar which appeared in Kerala after floods in 2018
