Hi,

Graphic Designing and Digital Marketing, both are contemporary fields, that require a person to be creative and good at ideation.

Graphic Designers create visuals that communicate messages effectively to the audience, through print media and electronic media. They work mainly with Magazines, Advertising Houses, Publishing Houses, Media companies, and other Corporates. The average starting salary for a Graphic Designer in India can be anywhere around 20-25k per month, and can scale up with time and the experience of the individual.

Digital Marketing is yet another contemporary field, which involves endorsing the products and services of a Company through digital channels, such as Social Media, Search Engines, Emails, Mobile Apps, etc. It requires a person to creatively plan and execute campaigns, estimate costs and evaluate returns, keep themselves updated with the dynamic algorithms of social media platforms, and much more.

Average starting salary of a professional in Digital Media Marketing can be anywhere around 25-30k per month, and can scale up by manifolds with time, experience, and upskilling.

While which Career option might make the best fit for somebody is predominantly dependent on individual needs, choices, abilities and interests, let me put across a general perspective here. Graphic Designing and Digital Marketing both are very promising fields, but the latter might take a few brownie points, with the world immersed in a pandemic and consequent changes in work culture. Advertising and Marketing of products and services are increasingly being conducted remotely, and hence, Digital Marketing can be predicted to have a very bright future.

Please feel free to reach out for any further queries.

All the Best!

Both fields are thriving.

When it comes to digital marketing, however, the spectrum is far broader in light of the pandemic and future prospects. In the future, digital marketing will continue to be the most effective method of marketing.

The decision should not be made purely on the basis of potential possibilities. The future is unknown. To make the best decision, you must prioritise your interests, expertise, and personal needs.

The digital marketing is the vast explore where graphic  design is limited as it become the narrow course. Even in graphic design degree you can work as freelancers.  At the end it all depends upon the your interest.

Hi student,

It totally depends upon your field of interest and passion. Both the careers have almost equal scope and both are inter-related to each other. You should go for graphic design of you have a creative mindset and you enjoy creating new things. And if you are a social media freak and have adequete knowledge about hoe to increase engagement over social media, Digital marketing will be the best for you. You can also choose both of these if you think you have both the skills.

Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.

I hope this information helps you.
