Which is tough CA Vs IIM ? Does all IIM offers 100% placements ? Does CA become unemployed ? Which you will choose I'm in 12th guide me. thank you...
Hi, hope you are doing well!
Chartered Accountancy is a professional course to become Chartered Accountant. The course has 3 levels and it is considered one of the toughest professional courses. It offers a great career path, salary, and respect among people. The profession involves management of finances for an entity. This includes managing financial accounts, budgeting, auditing, business strategy and taxation.
Indian Institute of Management(IIM) is one of the premiere B-School of India. There are a number of IIMs across the country and the best three are IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta. IIM mainly offers post graduation courses, the most popular among them is an MBA degree from IIM. To get to an IIM for MBA one needs to crack CAT examination with a very high percentile.
Career paths should always be chosen based on one's likes, dislikes, skills and long-term life goals. As you are in your 12th standard currently, you still have some time to understand what is best for you.
For these two options, both of them are excellent career choices with higher than average package and utmost amount of respect in the society. You can definitely choose any of the options based on your liking. There are some IIMs that offer integrated Graduation and Post Graduation degrees but unfortunately the 3 best IIMs don't offer integrated courses. For that you have to complete your graduation and side-by-side prepare for the CAT examination. However, you can start CA course right after your 12th Board exams.
You can start CA along with your graduation. In your final year of graduation you can start preparing for CAT then get into one of the IIMs.
Regarding unemployment, it can be in any of the career paths. It totally depends on your effort, hard-work and skills. Recession is a different case but it would definitely not impact these two career paths.
As per past year trends IIMs offer 100% placements.
Hello dear!
First of all there is a lot of difference between CA and MBA in IIm .
Both lead to a very different roles in future
When considered with exams of either CA or CAT,I would tell CA is the most toughest exam to clear in india ,therefore you have to make sure you are fully committed to clear it either first or second attempt. And if you want to start practising independently or you have an inclination towards Auditing or taxation then go with CA
You should be completely determined here
And remember CA can never be an unemployed, there is no such theory to prove it .It all depends on the individual's interest and ability, you should be good in all factors to become a CA .
Now when it comes to MBA in IIM
Now clearing CAT to get into IIM is much easier than CA .Here your past academics record ,experience, PI play a major role .
Placements- not all IIM's give you 100% placements but only the top tier institutes can , and if you can do MBA in top IIM's , it is better than CA .
But also after your CA you can do MBA , you have a chance of getting into top IIM is higher .
After your 12th it's better to start preparing for CA , whereas CAT doesn't need much duration.
So figure it out and analyse.
Both courses have a immense scope for career growth

all the best!
CA and MBA are 2 Totally 2 different verticals. You may pursue either or both depending on your Career Interests. I've seen many CA's even getting into IIMs for their Post Graduation.
