• Mechanics from HC Verma is very good.Its examples cover all the concepts.
• EMI is a must. It has a lot of problems you wouldn't find in other books.
• Optics also has a lot of problems and is very good for practicing geometrical optics.
• Thermodynamics and heat also as these require more practice.
• So basically the chapters which require more practice are important from HCV
• Current electricity,
• Electrostates , Capacitor, Magnetism, Alternatig current( For NEET, Don't solve exercise of subjective questions, Go through objective questions).
• You can also opt for Heat, Thermodynamics, Kinetic theory of gases. Rest topics are not necessarily to study from HCV if you're preparing for NEET.
• Read the entire chapter before attempting to solve the problems. Read at your own pace and make sure you understood the concepts.
• Whenever you see example problems, solve them then and there itself. Do NOT skip or postpone the example problems.
• Hc Verma has Brilliant explanation for:

1. Chapter 5 - Newton's laws of motion (probably)
2. Chapter 8 - Work and energy
3. 90% of chapter 10 involving rotation
4. Chapter 12 involving SHM
5. Chapters 17 and 18 regarding optics
6. Chapter 27 for specific heat
7. Chapter 28 of heat transfer
8. Chapter 38 involving EMI
