Hello Prutha Desai

For now in the country, only AIIMS and JIPMER are the only conducting authorities other than NEET which offers admission to MBBS courses throughout the country. As per the government guidelines, it is mandatory for everyone to appear in NEET irrespective of the college or course (MBBS/BDS) he/she wants to opt for.

Hope this information might help you.

All the Best.

AIIMS and JIPMER are the only other exams available for entrance into MBBS Course in India. These institutes conduct their own separate exam and councelling for admissions.

Hope your query is addressed.

Thanks

Aiims and jipmer are the colleges which will conduct their individual entrance exam for admission to mbbs seats this year..

Rest all other medical colleges will admit on the basis of marks and rank obtained by candidate in neet ug exam...

Good luck...

Except for AIIMS and JIPMER admissions to all medical colleges is through NEET. the syllabus of these exams is same as NEET except that both test logical reasonung/general knowledge and JIPMER exam also tests your english comprehension ability. In contrast to NEET both of these exams are computer based tests.

Best of luck.

Hey Prutha,

  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), AIIMS and JIPMER are all conducted to shortlist candidates for medical courses in institutes of high repute.
  • AIIMS is held to select students for medical courses in the esteemed All India Institutes of Medical Sciences which includes AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar., AIIMS Delhi,AIIMS Patna,AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Jodhpur.
  • JIPMER is conducted to select students for medical courses in Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research located in Pondicherry.

  • NEET is conducted to select candidates for all the other private and government medical colleges in the country.

  • Since these two institute have their own Examination, it is much harder to enroll in these institutes. Moreover, these colleges have additional sections to answer which include Logical Reasoning and Aptitude Test and General Knowledge.

  • If you answer NEET and manage to get a good score, you will be able to get Colleges in your own state as well as other colleges through 15% all India Quota.

    • Prepare well. Use your NCERT Textbooks. Don't worry! Relax and Take a deep breath. Just keep reading and revising. Focus on tables, diagrams, and examples. Solve previous years papers. Work Smart. The battle isn't over yet. All the very Best!
