In Msc drug chemistry  the main focus of the programme is the exploration of new drugs from their conception in the laboratory to their application and testing and subsequent industrial production. You will be trained in the advanced and current art of analytical, organic and drug chemistry and develop the skills of research methodologies, critical evaluation, problem recognition and problem solving in the drug science. You can also go for Health sector.

In Msc food technology also has very good scope in research as well as in job prospects.  But in jobs, it will only be restricted upto food based companies and its field. Whereas in drug chemistry you have a good scope in other areas as compared to food technology.

Malavika T , If you want to know that which course is best after BSC chemistry then from some research on internet I found that both the courses are best but may be MSC in drug chemistry will be best but take a course on the basis of your interest.

Hi, as per my point of view, MSc drug chemistry and food technology are both good and it should be chosen as per your interest. In order to get into food technology, you will get into options like R&D, QA in various factories producing eatable products. Else you can be appointed for quality surprise check by the government body. Considering drugs, it would be somewhat like chemists, you will be dealing with different organic compounds and their synthesis for producing various drugs. Choose the one which you want to pursue further job into.

After bsc chemistry,  you want to do Msc either in Msc drug chemistry or Msc in food technology..

Basicly both are the food and has their own importantince in their field..

It depend on your interest, which one you want to do and which one help you in your career..

In my optinion, Msc drug chemistry is good if you want do msc with chemistry..
