Correct Answer: Bacteria

Solution : The correct option is Bacteria.

Bacteria are the organisms most likely to emit greenhouse gases such as nitrous oxide and methane. Certain bacteria, notably anaerobic bacteria, have been identified as key contributors to the creation of these gases during diverse biological activities. Methane (CH4) is produced by methanogenic bacteria in anaerobic settings such as wetlands, rice paddies, and the digestive tracts of some animals. In the absence of oxygen, they degrade organic materials, creating methane as a metabolic byproduct. Nitrous oxide (N2O) is generated by a variety of microorganisms, including denitrifying bacteria. During the denitrification process, these bacteria convert nitrate (NO3-) and nitrite (NO2-) molecules into nitrous oxide. This is common in soil and aquatic habitats.
