Correct Answer: Both I and II

Solution : The correct answer is Both I and II.

Chloroform is a polar covalent compound with a molecular formula of CHCl 3 . It contains chlorine atoms that are more electronegative than hydrogen, leading to a polar covalent bond between carbon and chlorine. Chloroform has a significantly higher boiling point, which is indeed around 334K (or 61.15°C).

Methane is a nonpolar, covalent compound composed of carbon and hydrogen atoms. Because of its nonpolar nature and relatively low molecular weight, methane has a very low boiling point. The given boiling point of 111K (or -161.5°C) is approximately correct. Methane is a gas at room temperature.
