Correct Answer: The shift in the position of the ITCZ can influence the monsoon patterns in India.

Solution : The correct answer is The shift in the position of the ITCZ can influence the monsoon patterns in India.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ, is a wide trough of low pressure where the trade winds converge at equatorial latitudes. It is situated at the equator. The monsoon trough is another name for the Intertropical Convergence Zone, which occurs in July over the Gangetic Plain at latitudes between 20 and 25 degrees North. A thermal low forms over the north and northwest of India as a result of this monsoon trough.
