Hello Aspirant,
Both the branches , Civil and ECE are very good owing to its subject topics, scope, placement, knowledge gain, college campus, etc are all very good for both these branches.
Civil Engineering is the branch that particularly requires a good hand in drawing basics, and deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. Mostly you need skills like decision making, problem solving, maths, communication, etc
While for ECE branch, you must be well equipped with the basics of electronics. Also, ECE engineers involves researching, designing, developing and testing of electronic equipment used in various systems of electrical and electronic gadgets.
Lastly, it all depends upon your interest. If you have more interest in drawing, maths, building management, geography science, etc then civil is good . But if you have interest in electrical, circuits, electronic gadgets, devices and its making, etc then ECE branch is good .
Hope that helps. Good luck

Hello
Its totally depend on yoir interest. If an individual likes construction of roads, bridges, buildings then he should prefer civil. While if an individual interested in information and communication, software related then he should prefer ece .
For civil it become difficult to get placed in civil engineering companies untill if you are not studying in very good college. And it is fine if you are going for higher studies.
For ece there are plenty of opportunities in placement and also for higher studies.
Good Luck..
