Java is the obvious victor when it comes to pure speed. In terms of programming languages, C is the fifth most popular, according to Stack Overflow. According to HackerRank, it's the third most sought-after programming language among recruiting managers. Due to Java's platform neutrality and relative simplicity, it continues to be popular. Python is more flexible, easier to understand, and has a simpler syntax than Java. The fourth most popular coding language, according to Stack Overflow, is an interpretive general-purpose language.

According to HackerRank, it's the second most sought-after programming language among hiring managers when it comes to finding new employees. ZDNet reports that more than 11.3 million developers use Python, particularly for IoT, data science, and machine learning applications, and Python's usage has exploded in the last few years. According to SlashData's "State of the Developer Nation," Python's community grew by 25 percent between Q3 2020 and Q3 2021, gaining 2.3 million new developers.

Hello!

Few months back even i was in a great confusion regarding programming languages as i am a first year btech IT student.

I would like to share my experience, hope it will be helpful for you too.

so everyday i used to surf through various sites to know which language is better, which should i start from, which are more important etc. so if you are a newbie to programming, then i would suggest you to first go for C language. After that you should start with python. if you find it hard in your initial days, first learn javascript and then go for java as java script is relatively easier.

Now i will come to the real point. i understand you are confused between both the languages but you should know which field you will be choosing under computer science/ IT. its just like you are confused whether you should learn Arabic or French without knowing which country you are planning to go. if Dubai then arabic, if France then french. i will tell you which language is used for which field so that you will have a clear view right after reading this.

JAVA VS PYTHON:

Python is more productive than java. python is an interpretive language which is accompanied by elegant syntax, and it makes an excellent choice for scripting and rapid application development in many areas.

It is a dynamically typed programming (https://www.codeavail.com/Programming-Assignment-Helper) language. There is no need to declare variables. Whereas Java is a statistically typed programming language in which variables have to be explicitly stated.

Python is Rising - Python is rising strong day by day its popularity corresponds with the rise of Big Data and the IoT. Python is more in use because of AI, ML and Deep Learning are incorporated into corporate infrastructure. Even Python can help to make web applications.

Java still has a future - As we know Java holds 1st position from last two years and it cant vanished easily. Today, we saw Java is everywhere.

good luck!
