NEITHER OF THEM if you do not know what programme you want to enroll in. If you are sure of what course you want to take up then go ahead and research a little bit about growing trends in placements and scope of the concerned course. Make your decision very carefully. To be on the safer side, you can take a drop year because going abroad is a huge investment, and you don't want to be regretting it later.

Hello Gaurav,

If you are planning for engineering, I would suggest you to take a one year drop and study well for engineering. It is always beneficial to go for higher studies abroad, as it would not cost as much as it would cost you for your engineering there. If you are an average student, then I would suggest you to go for abroad studies now itself. The reason behind this is that a mere one year drop should not affect your placement process later on. Further, you would be subjected to more opportunities abroad and would be gaining more exposure in terms of internships, etc. So depending on your capability and willpower to study the same subjects once again or study new subjects, you can easily take the decision of whether you should go abroad at this stage or not.

I hope that the above provided information is helpful to you.

All the best..!!!

Hello,

I would recommend you to opt for studying abroad if you have not secured a seat in any of the Government Medical Colleges in India.

Though the colleges abroad are not as cheap as the Indian government medical colleges, yet the cost of living and education are certainly lower than the fees of the private medical colleges in India.

Also, dropping a year includes a risk factor- you may not qualify for second time too. And instead of risking of losing a year, you can always opt for medical studies abroad.

Feel free to ask anymore questions.

You can do medical abroad studies in China, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine Belarus, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. These countries have MCI approved medical colleges. Also,  they don't require the rank you achieved in your NEET. You just have to qualify the NEET. The admission process to abroad MBBS programs are hassle free without any scholarship or any other form of entrance exams.
