Which one is the better option either civils or gate???

Hello ,

First of all , you need understand the difference between the Civil services exam and GATE exam .

The Civil services exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of higher Civil Services of government of India ,

Now through this exam , there are two departments

1) Indian Police Service ( IPS ) : They are in charge of investigating crime and they are also responsible for maintaining public order in the specified area as per their post .

2) Indian Administrative Service ( IAS ) : Their job is to help in Public Administration and to formulate policies and their implementation .

3) Indian Foreign Services ( IFS ) : Their job is in representing India in embassies , consulates , commissions and permanent missions to organizations .

Now come to GATE , which is called as the GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING , which conducted by IISC Bangalore and the seven IITs .

Now through GATE , there are two main streams :

1) To pursue M-tech or MS or Masters plus PHD program at the best engineering colleges of India .

2) To get a highly paid job in Public Sector Units ( PSU ) , which is government job .

So , I conclude that both the exams are good option , it depends on your interest .
