You should prefer open school over attending a normal school , so that you can focus 100% on your JEE rather than having to focus on stupid projects and class test and attendance. In open schools you have to just go to school to give main exams and practicals.

No school can assure you a seat in IIT. Schools are made for your boards and so they focus on that. Though you may join a good coaching which can help you in your preparation and will prepare you for JEE level problems. Though a good school is necessary for your all round development so you should join the best school you can afford in your city.
