The Red Sea is very important from the location point of view. It is an inlet of the Indian Ocean between Africa and Asia. The elongated and narrow-shaped basin extends between the Mediterranean Sea to the northwest and the Indian Ocean to the southwest. Six countries bordering the Red Sea are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti.
