josaa - joint seat allocation authority, is responsible for counseling and giving admission into IITs NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, etc. on the basis of their jee mains rank (for nits /iiits/gftis ) and jee advanced rank( for iits).

Now in josaa, there is a mock seat allotment. The mock seat allotment is basically for the students, so that they can get a rough idea that which branches in which colleges they will get in the josaa main round counselling as per their order of filled choices.

Now if you got allotted a seat in mock seat allotment then, that means you have a high probability of getting that particular seat in josaa main round counselling. But the mock seat allotment results are not 100% accurate, it's totally on approximate basis. The final results of josaa main round counselling may vary with mock seat allotment result.
