Mostly the softwares which have 3D modelling capability and computer aided drafting ,depends upon which university are you from . AUTOCAD is the main software which are usually used in this degree . Other softwares include Archicad ,Maya, Sketchup, Revitt etc: These softwares gives an idea about how the buildings are designed, their structural overview etc:
