So lets quickly review Artificial Intelligence,Machine Learning and Data Science:

Artificial Intelligence: Human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions.

Machine Learning: It  gives ability to automatically learn and and improve their performance by themselves.

Data Science: It is the study of Data, in order to gain some knowledge from it.

Now, coming to your question which has scope in industry -

To be honest, all three are used mostly together nowadays, so even if you are a Data Scientist, you will most likely be working more on ML . So if you mainly want to know which would be a better area , following  is what I suggest:

1. AI requires ML, and ML requires Data Science. So learn the basics of Data Science and ML .Programming as well as theory is quite easy which would be completed using  practice and right guidance
2. Next,   Machine Learning for AI, but according to me data science is most efficient . Data science is the latest trend, and it has a lot of scope. This will take more time, considering the theory and the programming that you need to learn and practice. But once you get the hand on it,  you will be able to get better job opportunities and do better in it.
3. You may also complete certifications from well known institutes or may prefer online courses.

If we comparison between both specialization then both are holding top specialization in now days and upcoming features because data science and machine learning all the specialization are interlinked with each other like if you are dont know machine learning then you will not use data science frequently .Machine learning is course where you will learn regression ,neural network ,artificial neural network and many more things this is helpful when you do projects in data science .So both are the higher opportunities in feature and you have to know both of this then only you will good a data engineer or data scientist ,etc..

Hope you will understand the concept of data science and machine learning .Apart from that if you have facing any kind of problem then you can start a small mini projects then you will know about what this specialization and how it was work .Because you will learn and know the major similarities and difference at the time of projects or when you implimated somethings .
