Both the branches are good in terms of job opportunities and have very good scope . The main thing is you have to choose stream based on your interests not on placements but if you really want to compare then cse has more scope than it .
Cse - scope and career opportunities have  recently increased in this sector.  The major companies dominating this sector are HP , Intel , Infosys , IBM ,Wipro , etc .
One can join these through data analyst , software developer,  juniour programmer,  database administrator and many more.
IT -  If there is a second choice to be made after cse then it should be the one . There are many job opportunities available in top firms like HCL , Accenture , infortech , ibm , etc and one can also get job in public sector firms like BSNL, ISRO , CDAC , etc.
