if you want to become a fashion designer in future then after 10th you can go with any stream (science ,commerce, arts) which you want to study or you have interest because the eligibility of NIFT exam is Students should have passed 10+2 exam from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination.

To become a Fashion Designer who can opt which ever field you like science/commerce/arts it completes your primary eligibility of passing 10+2 grade. People take up arts to avoid subjects like maths or chemistry, but the choice is on you. After that you can sit for any of fashion designing entrance exam and get into the colleges. Students mostly aim for NIFT or IIFT.
