Hi,

The science stream (pcm) is required for architecture.

If you have already made your mind of doing course related to architechture then you should Go for Diploma in Architectural Assistantship as this course helps in learning basic building design along with digital drafting and modeling skills .

Eligibility Criteria :

Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10th (with Mathematics, Science and English) or equivalent.

Top Institutes are:

To get into Architecture in India. One has to take paper 2 of JEE or NATA. To get into IITs JEE paper 2 is a must. In other colleges NATA will do the job.

I'll give you insight to first years syllabus of architecture.

Basic skill development - communication, basic programs like ms office, presentation, autocad etc.

These all skills will help you in your final and most important subject which is architecture design. From your concept to presentation.

And many many site visits!!

And finally answer to your question

You don't need to prepare before coming in architecture. Architecture is a 5 year course for a reason, because the first 2 years are the foundation years of the course.

So just prepare for your competitive exams which will have perspective drawings, composition from geometric shapes, aptitude, and finally maths.

Hope this helps.

All the best.
