Hey there

To become an IAS officer you don't need any specific subject specialisation or you have to study any one subject for the exam.

The most of the parts of upsc cse exam is covered with humanities field so you can choose that stream if you are totally dedicated to become an IAS officer.

Otherwise you can give opt your own choice optional subject in whatever stream you want to. As in upsc cse exam you have multiple subject.

Please do check on upsc cse website for all the related details.

Best of luck.

Thank you!
