According to me, you can take the following subjects , if you willing to prepare CLAT exam:-
- Economics (important)
- Political science(important)
- History
- English(important)
- Legal studies
And Yes for General category, 45%marks should be scored in 12th class .
For obc/sc/St 40 % marks intheir 12th class .

The eligibility criteria for CLAT for undergraduate programme is that Candidates who have passed their Senior Secondary School Examination/ 12th Board Examination can apply. A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT 2020. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks. So you can take any subject to write CALT. to do law in future,it's better to have arts or commerce along with or without mathematics .

- English including Comprehension.
- General Knowledge and current Affairs.
- Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)
- Legal Aptitude.
