which subjects are suitable for law in 12th
Well, there is no such rule that you have to have subjects compulsory to get Law as your further studies. Arts subjects are more likely to have.
It is good if you have political science, history, social science these subjects in your 12th standard.
Most of thelawentrance exams conducted for admission in UG levellaw courses evaluate candidates on the basis of their aptitude/ knowledge onsubjectssuch as General Knowledge, English, Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude.
Hope it helps.
All the best!
The best thing about law as a discipline is there is no restriction in terms of belonging to any particular streams, its eligibility criteria is passed 10+2 from a recognized board with 50% aggregate, relaxation of 5% is offered in case of reserved category. Now, integrated law programs are for a duration of five years and they come in many forms such as BA-LLB, BCom-LLB, BBA-LLB,BCA-LLB so depending on the particular course you want to pursue you may choose 10+2 subjects, BA-LLB is more about knowing the political and social aspects of law while BCom-LLB or BBA-LLB is more suited for corporate sector, business domain. There are various entrance test for integrated law programs such as CLAT, LSAT, SET, AILET and then there are certain university which conduct their own entrance exams such as Jamia Milia, AMU, Punjab University, Christ University, we also have state level exams such as AP LAWCET, TS LAWCET, MAH CET LAW, KLEE etc.
Hi,
There is no such specific subject requirement in class 12th to do the law courses.
After 12 one can do 5 years integrated law courses like -
Those from arts stream can do B.A llb
Those from science stream can do B.Sc llb
Those from commerce stream can B.Com llb or B.B A -llb
Or
after 12th you can do graduation course which you are interested in and for which you are eligible according to your class 12th subject. And than apply for 3 years llb course
Choose the subjects which you find interesting and according to your aptitude or depending on the stream in which you want to do further studies.
Hope it helps.
