Which type of degree is the most suitable for taking the Indian Foreign Service as the carrier or to become an IFS officer

Hello,
IFS is all about maintaining diplomacy ,drafting, managing and formulation of foreign policy .
For this you need not do specialisation but if you want then Degree with subjects like International Relations , foreign policy would have an edge !!
But it is your choice

- Economics
- Philosophy
- Journalism
- Business Administration
- Law
A piece of advice - Choose subject(s) according to the Optional subject you'd opt for in UPSC CSE, or vice-versa.
