Which types of books we have to read for CA exams. What NCERT is useful for this.
1. ACCOUNTS (Paper 1 - 60m)
ICAI study material is more than enough for accounts. Focus on the basics of accounting since it will be helpful in further levels. Chapters like Partnership, Company and Special Accounts all together carries 25-30 marks approximately. CA Niraj Rathi's
2. LAW (Paper 1 - 40m)
ICAI material + S.Chand's Mercantile Lawsfor CPT
S.Chand - easiest language for law at CPT level particularly. Examples for explaination are great.
Law needs to be understood thoroughly.
Taxman is quite good too, however I just referred institute's material
Law can fetch full marks easily at CPT level
3. ECONOMICS (Paper 2 - 50m)
- Micro Economics (Approx. 25m) - ICAI material + Padhuka. Since Padhuka consists of lots of questions even on a small paragraphs, it helps build clear understanding of the subject. First refer ICAI material and then proceed to Padhuka. Questions from micro Economics can fetch you full marks but macro economics, God knows what may happen.
- Macro Economics (Approx. 25m) -
- ICAI material is more than enough. Since it contains lots of statistical data. ICAI adds small contents in its macro economics material in consecutive attempts, those updates would definitely fetch marks since questions are asked every such attempts from such updates.
- Algebra (Approx. 25m) - This is where maximum commerce students face problems. Me being a maths student, I found lots of mistakes in answers in ICAI material. Though I never faced
- difficulty preparing this section for CPT. NCERT material would be recommended for basic learning. Even youtube videos are useful for basic maths.
- Statistics (Approx- 25m) - ICAI material itself .ICAI Material is suffic
4. QUANTATIVE APTITUDE (Paper 2 - 50m)
