There's a slight difference between computer science and computer engineering (even though some universities combine those into one program). Computer science deals largely with algorithms - finding clever ways to do thing faster and efficiently. Computer Engineering, in my experience, focuses on building custom computational solutions. For engineering, you'll need to take a lot of electronics classes which involves quite a bit of calculus. Computer science, requires a good amount of discrete maths and graph theory (that too depends on what your goal is).
With all that said, is it doable? Yes - most definitely. Have i seen people do it? Yes again. You might to put it some additional effort though. Like other authors have mentioned, if you have some good footing in mathematics, your life will become much easier even if you have not taken computer science.
