Hello Yash. Both Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi University are renowed Universities of Government. But the major difference is that DU is a centralised university where as IPU is a state government university.

Here are some of the important note which you need to understand before coming on the conclusion:

-Delhi University is an oldest centralised university and has a better faculty, flood of opportuniites, proper code of conduct, and governance.

According to the Official Website of DU, there are around 90 colleges each located in different campus. The north campus has many popular colleges like Stephen's College, Sri Ram College of Commerce, Hans Raj College, Hindu College are the best colleges of the country.

As Delhi University is one of the oldest universities, its more focus and importance is on traditional courses which has a greater value. But its sad to say that UG Vocational Courses are not yet in the list of courses offered by Delhi University. But, there is traditional commerce like Bachelor in Commerce (B.com). B.com course also covers the same background but its not a specialised professional courses.

As you are looking for pursuing professional course, then Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will be the best one for you.

Admission Procedure for GGS-IPU

For taking admission in GGS-IPU, you need to crack a Undergraudate Combined Entrance Exam (CET) which is conducted separately for each courses. The selection will be done on the ranks achieved in the examination and all the Government Reservation Criteria will be followed.

Syllabus for CET for BBA

-The Syllabus for CET consists of 4 sections as follows:

Section 1: English Language and Comprehension

Section 2: General Awareness

Section 3: Logical and Analytical Ability

Section 4: Aptitude related with Management and Communication.

Each section will carry up total weightage of 25% and the whole Question Paper will contain 150 questions. Each question will carry up 4 marks which means the paper will be a total of 600 marks. For each wrong answer, your one marks will be deducted as a negative marking. The duration of CET will be 2 and half hours.

After the Entrance Examination, you will be called for counselling if you got selected and then your journey with IPU will start.

I hope now your doubts are clear. For more further queries, feel free to ask.

All the best.
