Hi

Choosing particular branch completely depends on your interest if you are interested in mechanical engineering then go for it or if you are interested in computer engineering go for it .

Coming to placements it completely depends upon your capability and knowledge

But according to present placements Cse having more jobs compare to mechanical

Choose your branch according to your interest Both have good scope it's all depended on your knowledge

Hope this information is helpful

All the best

Hey Mrunal! It completely depends upon the reputation of college and previous placements records of the college for the respective branch. According to me Computer science and engineering in private colleges if it has good placements because CSE is currently best branch in terms of placement and packages.

Dear Student,

This question is very common but very general. An answer to this question can only be subjective.

The answer depends on:

  • What kind of career you are going after. National or international?
  • Are you going “only for the money” or you want a job which gives you a balance between money and excitement ?
  • Do you want to build a wide scientific background on engineering first and after become specialized to a sector or you prefer narrowing your reading/studying by focusing to a specific object like software engineering?

So in few words:

Mechanical Engineering:

PROS: Offers a very wide scientific background, covering almost any sector of engineering. As a mechanical engineer you can become literally any kind of specialized engineer by doing a focused MSc on your favorite sector. Its a very versatile degree.

CONS: Too much reading. Extended studying years.

Computer engineering:

PROS: Highly paid career.

CONS: You will find a job only in specific countries that have computer manufacturing industry. Difficult and intensive reading.

Electronics Engineering:

PROS: Fast Developing and challenging sector. Good salaries, exciting job.

CONS: Same with computer engineering.

Computer science:

PROS: Highly paid job. International career prospects.

CONS: You will not be entitled as an Engineer but (faulty) as a “software engineer”. Your job may become repeating and boring. You will have to upgrade your self and be updated during your whole career. At some age will not be able to compete with 25 years old software engineers.

ALL THE BEST!!!
