Hi Ishu,
As per the growth of technology you should give a thougt for information technology and computer science. You see there is scope for technology in the near future and you can easily get job in these fields but do consider once your area of interest before chosing any of the streams.
- ECE: Students can handle various professional assignments as Software Developers, VLSI Designers, Embedded Engineers and RF Engineers in electronics, telecommunication, IT industry in government, semi-government and private sector.
- CSE AND IT: Students can attain technical positions as Developers, Design Engineers, Solution Integrators, Network Administrators, Database Administrators ,Software Testers, Web and Mobility Engineers in a variety of computing domains such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, robotics, graphic solutions, simulations and cloud computing at leading companies like Accenture, HCL , Wipro Technologies, Cognizant, TCS, LG Soft, Tech Mahindra and Infosys.
- MECH: Students can handle various engineering projects such as Project Engineer, Production Engineer, Designer, Supervisor in various manufacturing units in private and government organisations such as railways, BHEL, ONGC and SAIL

OTHER THAN
Agriculture, Aerospace, Electronics, chemical, Genetic….etc
Mostly every year IT services like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, etc hire in masses from engineering colleges in India from across the branches with CSE given a bit preference due to their experience of programming and knowledge of technologies. The average salaries offered by these companies are ₹ 3–3.5 lakhs.
These companies are most likely in Tier 2 and 3 engineering colleges where not a lot of companies turn up for campus placements and hiring process.
Tier 1 colleges or NITs or IITs have slightly better scenario depending on their individual reputation. There are eltite blue chip companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Amazon, Directi offers envy-worthy packages of ₹ 15–25 LPAs to some excellent candidates after several rounds of assessment.
Similarly some core software companies like Oracle, SAP Labs, Fidelity, etc which offer good packages like ₹ 5–10 LPA.
Also in these recent years with startup trend going high up so has their offers to young college students in terms of high salary as well as equities and ESOPs. So in the end it all depends on your individual skills and talent that may get you a better opportunity.
But any Engineering field can perform the best provided someone does totally a new innovation which wasn't known previously.
In coming years and of course in present scenario the best engineering course for jobs is CSE(Computer Science and Engineering) because it is vast field and has entrance into other fields. It is the master of technology even
