which would require a greater force - accelerating a 2kg mass at 5 ms-2 or a 4kg mass at 2ms-2
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
Force = mass × acceleration
So , F = ma
So when m = 2kg and a = 5m/s²
F = ma = 2× 5 N = 10 N
When m = 4 Kg and a = 2m/s²
F = ma = 4 × 2 = 8 N
First when m = 2kg and a = 5m/s² have greater force
Hope you get your answer of your question.
All the best.
Hello...
Hope you are doing good.
Force formula is mass*acceleration
F=m*a
case 1:
Force formula is mass*acceleration
F=2*5 = 10N
case 2:
Force formula is mass*acceleration
F=4*2=8N
The case 1 has greater force compared to case 2.
Hope this helps...
