Correct Answer: 42$\frac{6}{7}$%

Solution : Given:
Discount = 30%
Let the marked price be 100.
30% discount on marked price = $\frac{30}{100}$ × 100 = 30.
Hence, discount = 30.
Now, cost price of the retailer = selling price of the company = marked price – discount
= (100 – 30) = 70
According to the question,
Selling price of the retailer = marked price
So, the selling price of the retailer = 100 and the cost price = 70.
Now, profit = (selling price – cost price) = 100 – 70 = 30.
⇒ Profit % = $\frac{\text{Profit}}{\text{Cost Price}}$ × 100%
= $\frac{30}{70}$ × 100 = $\frac{3000}{70}$ = 42$\frac{6}{7}$%
Hence, the correct answer is 42$\frac{6}{7}$%.
