Correct Answer: Tughril Beg

Solution : The correct answer is Tughril Beg.

Tughril Beg was a Bengali governor who stood up and revolted against Balban and declared himself an independent ruler of Bengal in 1279. Balban sent his forces to Bengal, and Tughril Beg was murdered by the troops of Balban in Bengal. Balban made strict rules and guidelines, due to which the revolt was easily suppressed by the troops in 1279 AD, which enhanced the image of the Sultan.
