As much information as is available, there is no restriction on other states' residents to appear for the TANCET Exam (M.E/M.Tech). The exam will be conducted on 19th and 20th May this year. However, the eligibility conditions for non-Tamil Nadu domicile candidates will be decided by the admitting authority/admissions.

The application form for TANCET will be made available from the first week of April and even candidates who have qualified GATE XE or XL will have to submit the application.

TANCET Eligibility is prescribed by Anna University, Chennai. Candidates meeting the basic eligibility conditions (nationality, age criteria, academic qualifications and marks) can apply online for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test or TANCET. The exam is scheduled in March 2019 in offline mode. Possession of a Bachelors degree (with minimum 50% marks for General category students) is a must to apply for MBA. GATE qualifiers can sit directly in the counselling round. There is no minimum age to apply for any course. Eligible candidates can fill TANCET Application Form at the official website i.e. www.annauniv.in. The application fee is INR 500 for general category (INR 250 for reserved category). Candidates from a recognized university with a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category students) in qualifying degree examination can apply.
