Greetings Vinay!

Hope you're doing great!

I assume you must be aware of the full form of DPT and DPMT. So, let's get back to the question which one is better? So, let's categorize to know more details about DPT and DPMT.

Curriculum wise: Ideally, DPMT is an advanced version of DPT and if you go through the curriculum details you'll get to know that DPT has limited career growth. DPT will let you work as a Production or Quality executive. While DPMT has broad prospect and you'll be exposed to new techniques and learnings. Through DPMT you'll learn more about Tool Room, Mould Design, R&D, NPD and many more tools available in the current market. So, if you look at the course then I'm pretty sure learning is more in DPMT courses.

Placement wise: As we go through the job opportunity, DPT has an edge over DPMT. Although most students in DPMT department get places in renowned MNCs, DPT students have more job opportunities in the production field, Quality Control, Marketing. If we analyse, you'll see that in DPTWe go through plastics, polymers their’s strength, toughness melting pointing and their applications And machine maintenance, whereas in DPMT we go through manufacturing of base moulding in which plastics products are being structured, assembling of mould, mould maintenance, CNC milling and CNC lathe, EDM electric discharge machine and designing. The diversity of job provided in DPT makes it a popular choice. Still given choice, I'll personally recommend DPMT over DPT.

After analysis, I'm pretty sure you must have made up your mind right at this point. Central Institute Of Plastic Engineering & Technology(CIPET) is an institute located in Bhopal. CIPET is a pioneer institute which offers both DPT and DPMT courses is also AICTE approved and affiliated to RGPV Bhopal. The Post Graduation diploma course offered here is of 18 months duration, whereas Diploma is of 3 years. The student must have completed their 4-year Engineering(B.E/B.tech) or B.Sc in chemistry/Industrial chemistry/polymer science for admission in Post Graduation program.
